AMCoRE Hosts Second Webinar in 2026 Webinar Series

The Africa–Europe Cluster of Research Excellence for Multimorbidity (AMCoRE) hosted its second webinar of the 2026 webinar series on Tuesday, 24 March 2026.

The webinar featured Prof. Melanie Abas, an AMCoRE partner from King’s College London, who presented on “Integrating Depression Treatment into HIV Care: An Example of the TENDAI Intervention from Zimbabwe.”

The session explored approaches to integrating depression treatment into HIV care and highlighted the TENDAI intervention as an example of integrated care in the Zimbabwean context. The discussion contributed to AMCoRE’s broader focus on addressing multimorbidity through integrated, context-responsive approaches to healthcare in Africa.

The session was chaired by Prof. Tivani Mashamba-Thompson of the Centre for Development and Implementation of Point-of-care Diagnostics (CPOC-Dx), University of Pretoria, and brought together researchers and collaborators interested in multimorbidity, mental health, HIV care, and health systems research.

The webinar formed part of AMCoRE’s ongoing webinar series, which provides a platform for knowledge exchange, research collaboration, and capacity strengthening across the Africa–Europe research network.
